Maintaining a safe working environment is EW&R’s number one priority. To help make sure all of our projects are operating under the proper safety standards, we have a full time Safety Director on staff. As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe job-site our safety director, along with all of our project managers, superintendents and foremen are trained in CPR, first aid, fire extinguisher training, confined space entry, and are trained in lead abatement. They also have attended OSHA’s 10-hour course in construction safety and health.
EW&R conducts quarterly industrial hygiene surveys at all of our job sites which include dust sampling and noise monitoring. Job site safety audits are conducted bi-weekly by EW&R superintendents. Before starting a large-scale project a complete hazard analysis of work features is performed and accident prevention plans are prepared.
