Balcony
Repair and Replacement
The corrosion of reinforcing steel, the
change between night and day temperatures, and freeze thaw cycling, help
contribute to the deterioration of concrete at railing post pockets. The
deteriorated concrete is typically removed by chipping hammers and
replaced with new concrete I.n some cases balconies may have
deterioration which is beyond the limits of normal concrete repair. A
variety of factors may contribute to the severity of the delaminated
concrete. Cantilevered, post-tensioned, or structural steel-framed
balconies can be replaced if warranted. Once repaired, a coating system is
typically used to protect the new concrete.

Caulking,
Cleaning & Glazing
Age and movement often cause the
failure of building control joints, expansion joints, and at the
intersections of dissimilar materials. Caulking and Glazing is the process
of resealing the failed areas to return the building to its original
state.
